EASTER URRAY SOLARÂ PROJECT
PROJECT INFORMATION
The Easter Urray Solar Project is being developed by Simon Morrison and Co, based in Muir of Ord.

The proposal would consist of a compound containing around ten megawatts of solar panels. The site would also include an electrical control building/substation, and potentially a small number of energy storage containers.
The site would be enclosed by visually discrete security fencing which will be designed to respect the existing pattern of enclosure, and the proposal would include a significant area of planted native tree planting and associated landscaping outside this fence.

Two ‘drop in’ consultation events which will take place between 4pm and 7pm on Friday the 13th of January 2023 and Friday the 3rd of February 2023. These will take place in Muir of Ord Village Hall. See further information below.

The plan above shows the proposed site layout for the project. The plan below shows the anticipated redline planning boundary for the project.
LOCATION

The site is located on land at Easter Urray, Muir of Ord. IV6 7UL

The site would be accessed from the A832 via a new access track, or via the existing access to Easter Urray. Once operational the site would be operated remotely and would generate very low levels of traffic, consisting of weekly visits by a light van.
